This group started in September, 2006.
We are a friendly group of history lovers who meet to explore interesting topics of Modern History from 1485 to the present day.
Earlier topics include the story of the English Silver Penny, Aneurin Bevan, John Snow and the 1854 Cholera Outbreak as well as the life of Vera Brittain.
We each take it in turn to prepare and deliver a talk of about 25-40 minutes duration, after which there is a discussion over refreshments.
