Folk Roots Appreciation

This group started in September, 2012.

We are a group with an interest in folk and roots music. Each meeting has a theme, chosen in rotation by members of the group, and we each choose three songs to fit the theme. Usually we find our tracks on YouTube and a YouTube list is then compiled for us to watch and listen to prior to the meeting at which we discuss the tracks.
Sometimes we are introduced to new music and musicians; sometimes we encounter old ‘friends’. Recent topics include Mythical Creatures, Rivers, Historical Events and Drinking.
