This group started in September, 2012
We are a friendly group who meet twice a month to play a range of non-traditional (Modern) Board Games, which require a mix of tactics and strategy. Examples of these games are "Carcassone", "Ticket to Ride" and "Puerto Rico".
In some games, the players compete against each other, in others they are a team competing against the game itself. Some games have a board, some have no board but use cards and some build the board as the game is played (tile-laying games). One or two modify the board as the game progresses.
The aim of the Group is to have fun with friends.

KINGDOMINO is based on the old favourite, Dominoes, but the tiles have cute pictures depicting a variety of different landscapes (the artwork itself is often a feature of these games!) instead of spots, and the aim is for each player to build a mini-kingdom on a 5x5 grid. Points are scored at the end.
CARCASSONNE This is a tile-laying game, in which the players build the board as the game progresses. Each tile depicts a feature - part of a city, road, or church. Points are scored for each completed feature.
