Groups

Membership of Waterlooville u3a gives access to a wide variety of Interest Groups. You can learn and develop new skills, or share yours with others - it is a two-way street. Joining an activity group is the perfect way of keeping your brain and body active with a bunch of friendly like-minded people.

Our groups meet in various venues around the local area, ranging from members' homes to local halls/rooms and are informal and friendly.

Details of the times and location of group meetings may be found by following the links to the individual groups below - some meet weekly, others fortnightly and yet more once a month.

If group meetings involve any costs, such as room hire, speaker, instructor, etc. group members are expected to contribute equally to cover those costs. In most cases, members pay for a number of sessions in advance (as with non-u3a groups) although others are on a pay-as-you-go basis - it depends on the nature of the group activity.

Group enquiries can be made in several ways :
Email groups@waterloovilleu3a.org.uk
Visit the Groups Table at any Coffee Morning or General Meeting
Use our Contacts page

If the group is full, your name can be added to the Waiting List and you will be offered a space when you reach the top of the list.

u3a works on the principle of cooperative self help. All our groups are run voluntarily by members themselves. So if you have an interest why not share it? It only takes two or three people with similar interests to form a group and then others will join in. Everyone in the group helps each other and shares their knowledge.
